Zusammenfassung Humane Herpesviren gehören zu den DNA‐Viren und zählen zu den häufigsten Erregern viraler Infektionen beim Menschen. Nach der Primärinfektion mit einem dieser Viren kommt es typischerweise zur Latenz mit dem Potenzial späterer Reaktivierungen, die häufiger symptomatisch sind und zum Arztbesuch führen als die Primärinfektion.

Hypopigmented penile fixed drug eruption
Residual hypopigmentation can occur in FDE. Epithelial hyperplasia is a histopathologic feature of chronic lesions. Refractory period can influence response to oral DPT; thus, patient may need to be observed longer than the recommended 7 days. Chronic recurring FDE of the glans penis and meatal area can cause meatal stenosis.
