Herschel/HIFI spectroscopy of the intermediate mass protostar NGC 7129 FIRS 2 [PDF]
Astronomy and Astrophysics, 2010 HERSCHEL-HIFI observations of water from the intermediate mass protostar NGC7129 FIRS 2 provide a powerful diagnostic of the physical conditions in this star formation environment. Six spectral settings, covering four H216O and two H218O lines, were observed and all but one H218O line were detected. The four H2 16 O lines discussed here share a similar Johnstone, D., Fich, M., Mccoey, C., van Kempen, T. A., Fuente, A., Kristensen, L. , 2012 Recently, we introduced detailed isotopic chemistry into the KOSMA-tau model for photon-dominated regions (PDRs) to give theoretical predictions for the abundance of the carbon isotopologues as a function of PDR parameters. Combined with radiative transfer computations for specific geometries, we estimated the possible intensity ratio of the [CII ...Ossenkopf, V., Röllig, M., Neufeld, D. A., Pilleri, P., Lis, D. Astronomy and Astrophysics, 2010 We present initial results from the Herschel GT key program: Herschel observations of EXtra-Ordinary Sources (HEXOS) and outline the promise and potential of spectral surveys with Herschel/HIFI. The HIFI instrument offers unprecedented sensitivity, as well as continuous spectral coverage across the gaps imposed by the atmosphere, opening up a largely ...Bergin, E. A., Phillips, T. The Astrophysical Journal, 2014 A sensitive broadband molecular line survey of the Sagittarius B2(N) star-forming region has been obtained with the HIFI instrument on the Herschel Space Observatory, offering the first high-spectral resolution look at this well-studied source in a wavelength region largely inaccessible from the ground (625-157 um).Neill, Justin, Bergin, Edwin, Lis, Dariusz, Schilke, Peter, Crockett, Nathan, Favre, Cécile, Emprechtinger, Martin, Comito, Claudia, Qin, Sheng-Li, Anderson, Dana, Burkhardt, Andrew, Chen, Jo-Hsin, Harris, Brent, Lord, Steven, Mcguire, Brett, Mcneill, Trevor, Monje, Raquel, Phillips, Thomas, Steber, Amanda, Vasyunina, Tatiana, Yu, Shanshan +20 moreopenaire +4 more sourcesHerschel/HIFI observations of molecular lines toward G10.47+0.03
Frontiers in Astronomy and Space Sciences We present a spectral line analysis of the hot molecular core G10.47 + 0.03 (hereafter, G10). , 2013 Aims. The study of the molecular gas in the circumstellar envelopes of evolved stars is normally undertaken by observing lines of CO (and other species) in the millimetre-wave domain. In general, the excitation requirements of the observed lines are low at these wavelengths, and therefore these observations predominantly probe the cold outer envelope ...Alcolea, J., Bujarrabal, V., Planesas, P., Teyssier, D., Cernicharo, J., De Beck, Elvire, Decin, Leen, Dominik, C., Justtanont, K., de Koter, Alex, Marston, A.P., Melnick, G., Menten, K.M., Neufeld, D.A., Olofsson, H., Schmidt, M., Schöier, F.L., Szczerba, R., Waters, L.BF.M. +18 moreopenaire +1 more sourceHerschel/HIFI discovery of interstellar chloronium (H2Cl+) [Letter]
