Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Comparison of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis for synthesis of biodiesel from Madhuca indica oil [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Industry and Chemical Engineering Quarterly, 2011
Biodiesel was developed by transesterification of Madhuca indica oil by homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis. KOH and CaO were taken as homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, respectively.

Process Optimization for Ethyl Ester Production in Fixed Bed Reactor Using Calcium Oxide Impregnated Palm Shell Activated Carbon (CaO/PSAC) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The continuous production of ethyl ester was studied by using a steady-state fixed bed reactor (FBR). Transesterification of palm stearin (PS) and waste cooking palm oil (WCPO) with ethanol in the presence of calcium oxide impregnated palm shell ...

Dual-atom Pt heterogeneous catalyst with excellent catalytic performances for the selective hydrogenation and epoxidation

open access: yes, 2021
Atomically monodispersed heterogeneous catalysts with uniform active sites and high atom utilization efficiency are ideal heterogeneous catalytic materials. Designing such type of catalysts, however, remains a formidable challenge.

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

Prominent Movement Disorders in RNU2‐2‐Related Spliceosomopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric movement disorders often overlap with neurodevelopmental diseases, suggesting shared molecular mechanisms. Variants in small nuclear RNA (snRNA) genes encoding spliceosome components have recently been associated with neurodevelopmental disorders, termed “RNUopathies.” We analyzed genome sequencing data from 14 patients with ...

Lignosulfonate-based heterogeneous sulfonic acid catalyst for hydrolyzing glycosidic bonds of polysaccharides

open access: yes, 2013
We report a novel lignosulfonate-based heterogeneous sulfonic acid catalyst (LF) which offered high yields of monosaccharides (75-98%) in hydrolysis of polysaccharides, such as cellobiose, maltose, D-melezitose, sucrose, inulin, and starch.
