Microscopic Simulation of Heterogeneous Traffic Flow on Multi-Lane Ring Roads and Highways

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In the connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV) environment, vehicles with different levels of automation are being deployed on public roads. Most research focuses on traffic flow simulation for a single vehicle type, while there are few studies on the ...

Investigation of the tolerance of wavelength-routed optical networks to traffic load variations. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This thesis focuses on the performance of circuit-switched wavelength-routed optical network with unpredictable traffic pattern variations. This characteristic of optical networks is termed traffic forecast tolerance.

A Novel KCNA1 Variant in a Patient With Tremor and Autism Spectrum Disorder Causes Mixed LOF/GOF Defects of Kv1.1 Channels

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Variants in KCNA1, encoding the Kv1.1 potassium channel, cause neurological disorders including episodic ataxia and developmental and epileptic encephalopathy. We identified a novel KCNA1 variant (A401T) in a 16‐year‐old patient with autism spectrum disorder, borderline intellectual disability, and tremor, without episodic ataxia or epilepsy ...

Improving achievable traffic load of cognitive wireless networks under GoS constraints

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
To improve the achievable traffic load of secondary user(SU) under grade of service (GoS) constraints in cognitive wireless networks with heterogeneous traffic,a novel spectrum sharing scheme was proposed. The key idea of the proposed scheme was to ...

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

Significance of incorporating heterogeneity in a non-continuum macroscopic model for density estimation

open access: yesTransport, 2014
The heterogeneity of traffic and the lack of lane discipline on the roads in India and other developing countries add complexity to the analysis and modeling of traffic.
