Heterorhabditis floridensis n. sp. (Rhabditida: Heterorhabditidae) from Florida

Zootaxa, 2006
In a survey of entomopathogenic nematodes associated with plants and trees in areas adjacent to production citrus groves in Florida, a new species of nematode in the genus Heterorhabditis was found based of morphological and molecular studies. The new nematode is described as Heterorhabditis floridensis n. sp. H. floridensis n. sp.

Heterorhabditis marelatusn. sp. (Rhabditida: Heterorhabditidae) from Oregon

Journal of Invertebrate Pathology, 1996
Abstract A new species of the nematode genusHeterorhabditiswas found during a survey of soil entomopathogenic nematodes near Seaside, Oregon.Heterorhabditis marelatusn. sp. differs from other species ofHeterorhabditisby the length of infective juvenile and gubernaculum, and the shape of spicules, bursa, and genital papillae.Heterorhabditis marelatusn.

Photorhabdus antumapuensis sp. nov., a novel symbiotic bacterial species associated with Heterorhabditis atacamensis entomopathogenic nematodes

International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2022
One motile, Gram-negative, non-spore-forming and rod-shaped symbiotic bacterium, strain UCH-936T, was isolated from Heterorhabditis atacamensis nematodes. Results of biochemical, physiological, molecular and genomic analyses suggest that it represents a new species, which we propose to name Photorhabdus antumapuensis sp. nov.

Heterorhabditis georgiana n. sp. (Rhabditida: Heterorhabditidae) from Georgia, USA

Nematology, 2008
AbstractIn a survey of entomopathogenic nematodes in Georgia, a nematode isolate of the genus Heterorhabditis was collected from soil by the insect-baiting technique and maintained in the laboratory on last instar Galleria mellonella (L.) larvae. Morphological and molecular studies of the isolate showed that the nematode is a new species.

Low Temperature Activity in Heterorhabditis Sp. (Nematoda: Heterorhabditidae)

Nematologica, 1991
Four isolates of Heterorhabditis sp. (H181, Hf85 and Hnhl 86 from the Netherlands and K122 from Ireland) were compared in laboratory bioassays. Galleria mellonella larvae were exposed to infective juveniles in sand for 2-5 days. There were significant differences between isolates in the number of infective juveniles that found and entered the larvae at
