Heterostructure Induced Dispersive Shear Bands in Heterostructured Cu
Abstract Here we report the formation of dispersive shear bands in a heterostructured Cu composed of coarse-grained (CG) and ultrafine-grained (UFG) domains. Microscale digital image correlation revealed that dense shear bands evolved in a stable manner over the whole gauge section.

Structural advantages and enhancement strategies of heterostructure water-splitting electrocatalysts
Summary: As an environmentally friendly and resource-rich energy, hydrogen is recognized as an ideal alternative to conventional fossil fuels. Among various methods for hydrogen production, electrochemical water splitting is one of the most promising ...

Graphene/MoS2 heterostructures are formed by combining the nanosheets of graphene and monolayer MoS2. The electronic features of both constituent monolayers are rather well-preserved in the resultant heterostructure due to the weak van der Waals ...

Tin monochalcogenide heterostructures as mechanically rigid infrared bandgap semiconductors
Based on first-principles density functional calculations, we show that SnS and SnSe layers can form mechanically rigid heterostructures with the constituent puckered or buckled monolayers.

Fabrication and Characterization of MoS2/h-BN and WS2/h-BN Heterostructures
The general preparation method of large-area, continuous, uniform, and controllable vdW heterostructure materials is provided in this paper. To obtain the preparation of MoS2/h-BN and WS2/h-BN heterostructures, MoS2 and WS2 material are directly grown on

Stacking engineering induced Z-scheme MoSSe/WSSe heterostructure for photocatalytic water splitting
Stacking engineering is a popular method to tune the performance of two-dimensional materials for advanced applications. In this work, Jansu MoSSe and WSSe monolayers are constructed as a van der Waals (vdWs) heterostructure by different stacking ...
