Abstract When incorporating both of the ICE and electric motor, the vehicle is usually known as the hybrid EV (HEV). This HEV is actually not a new idea. A patent by Pieper in 1905 delineated that a battery-powered electric motor was used to boost the acceleration of an ICEV (Wouk, 1995; Bates, 1995). What exactly is a HEV?

Protective immunity against HEV
Current Opinion in Virology, 2014Rural community of Dongtai City in eastern China is endemic for hepatitis E virus (HEV), with the zoonotic genotype 4 virus predominating. The virus appears to be widely distributed in environment at generally low levels, such that infection is common, but >97% of which are asymptomatic and provoke a modest antibody response.

Characteristics and Functions of HEV Proteins
2016Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is a non-enveloped virus containing a single-stranded, positive-sense RNA genome of 7.2 kb, which consists of a 5' non-coding region, three open reading frames (ORFs), and a 3' non-coding region. ORF1 is diverse between genotypes and encodes the nonstructural proteins, which include the enzymes needed for virus replication.

Laboratory Diagnosis of HEV Infection
2016Serological and nucleic acid tests for detecting hepatitis E virus (HEV) have been developed for both epidemiologic and diagnostic purposes. The laboratory diagnosis of HEV infection depends on the detection of HEV antigen or HEV RNA in the blood, stool, and other body fluids, and serum antibodies against HEV (immunoglobulin [Ig]A, IgM, and IgG).

2007 International Joint Conference on Neural Networks, 2007
The author propose a neural network controller for improved fuel efficiency of the Toyota Prius hybrid electric vehicle. The approach is based on recurrent neural networks and an effective combination of off-line and on-line training methods including the extended Kalman filter and the simultaneous perturbation stochastic approximation (SPSA).

Immunobiology and Host Response to HEV
2016Hepatitis E virus (HEV) causes acute self-limiting hepatitis in most cases and chronic infection in rare circumstances. It is believed to be noncytopathic, so immunologically mediated events should play important roles in its pathogenesis and infection outcomes.

Course of HEV viremia and anti-HEV IgM/IgG response in asymptomatic blood donors
Journal of Clinical Virology, 2018Globally, an estimated 20 million Hepatitis E infections occur every year. The course of viremia and antibody response has been investigated in patients with symptomatic hepatitis E. However, the majority of HEV infections in industrialized countries take a subclinical course. To investigate the course of HEV viremia and epitope specific anti-HEV IgM ...

Mix‐breeding with HEV‐infected swine induced inapparent HEV infection in SPF rabbits
Journal of Medical Virology, 2015Studies have shown that swine HEV (sHEV) and rabbit HEV (rHEV) can experimentally infect rabbits and swine, respectively. However, no published data have documented isolating sHEV strains from rabbits in natural environment so far. To clarify the possibility of natural cross‐species transmission of sHEV to rabbits, the pigs with HEV infection were ...

Several formulations of serological diagnostic kits were developed recently in Japan for detecting hepatitis E virus (HEV) infection. The present study was conducted to evaluate a novel anti-HEV serological kit based on detection of class A immunoglobulin antibody (anti-HEV IgA).Serum samples from 81 acute hepatitis (AH) and 112 chronic hepatitis (CH ...
