Dispersion Analysis of Metasurfaces With Hexagonal Lattices With Higher Symmetries
This article investigates the dispersion properties of metasurfaces with hexagonal lattices, including potential higher symmetric configurations. We explore the relationships between the periodicity of hexagonal lattices and their dispersion properties ...

Study on the lipid organization of stratum corneum lipid models by (cryo-) electron diffraction
The barrier function of the skin resides in the stratum corneum (SC). This outermost layer consists of protein-rich corneocytes and lipid-rich intercellular domains.

Generalized hexagonal systems with each hexagon being resonant
A hexagonal system (HS) is a finite 2-connected planar graph in which each interior face is a regular hexagon of side length 1, and a generalized hexagonal system (GHS) is a graph obtained by deleting some interior vertices and interior edges from a HS.

On the number of hexagonal polyominoes
A combination of the refined finite lattice method and transfer allows a radical increase in the computer enumeration of polyominoes on the hexagonal lattice (equivalently, site clusters on the triangular lattice), \(p_n\), with \(n\) hexagons. In this paper the authors obtain \(p_n\) for \(n\leq 35\).

Hexagonal TiO2/SiO2 Porous Microplates for Methylene Blue Photodegradation
Hexagonal TiO2/SiO2 Porous Microplates have been successfully synthesized by incorporation of Ti precursors into SiO2 synthesized from Si precursors in a gelatin-CTAB mixture via the hydrothermal method.

Hexagonal grids have many advantages over square grids and could be successfully used in mobile robotics as a map representation. However, there is a lack of an essential algorithm, namely, SLAM (simultaneous localization and mapping), that would generate a map directly on the hexagonal grid. In this paper, this issue is addressed.
