Swelling on neutron induced hexagonal boron nitride and hexagonal boron nitride-titanium diboride composites

open access: yesVacuum, 2020
Abstract In the present work, neutron irradiation effects on swelling were investigated for hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) and hexagonal boron nitride-titanium diboride (hBN-TiB2) composites. hBN and hBN-TiB2 composites were irradiated by reactor neutrons which include thermal, epithermal and fast neutrons at the central thimble of the reactor.

Solid Particle‐Liquid Metal Mixtures for Robust High‐Current Interconnects in Stretchable Electronics and Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Metallic microparticles dispersed in liquid metal interconnects mitigate electromigration‐induced failure by reconfiguring internal current density distributions. These fillers facilitate the growth of a robust, protective gallium oxide shell at elevated temperatures, shifting the failure threshold toward a thermal limit.

Deterministic Integration of Quantum Emitters and Optical Cavities in a Van Der Waals Crystal

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The work demonstrates fabrication of Circular Bragg Grating (CBG) cavities with embedded emitters in hBN. The cavities are fabricated around a pre‐characterised quantum emitter. The integrated platform enables light matter interaction and access to brighter emitters and spins in hBN.
