Tailoring crushing responses of hexagonal crash box filled with additively manufactured lattice structures by assessing the influence of material parameters

open access: yesNext Materials
Hexagonal crash boxes offer superior crashworthiness compared to other cross-sectional geometries, and their performance can be further enhanced by integrating additively manufactured lattice fillers.

Formation of Co–Ni Alloy Superlattices Composed of Face-centered Cubic (FCC) and Hexagonal Close Packed (HCP) Atomic Layers Using a Rectangular Pulse Voltage

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2020
Co–Ni alloy superlattices composed of face-centered cubic (FCC) and hexagonal close packed (HCP) atomic layers were electrodeposited using rectangular pulse voltages of 0.85 and 1.1 MHz, respectively.

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Hexagonal Multicarrier Faster-Than-Nyquist Signaling

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Multicarrier faster-than-Nyquist (MFTN) signaling is a spectral efficient modulation scheme for future communication systems. In MFTN signaling, the intersymbol interference (ISI) and intercarrier interference (ICI) are introduced intentionally by the ...

Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.

On the Turns of Digital Images

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2013
The images built on the basis of rectangular and hexagonal lattices are discussed in the article. For images on a rectangular lattice a formula is proposed, which gives approximate values of the components of a characteristic set of coefficients when ...

Algebraic Theory of Crystal Vibrations: Localization Properties of Wave Functions in Two-Dimensional Lattices

open access: yesCrystals, 2017
The localization properties of the wave functions of vibrations in two-dimensional (2D) crystals are studied numerically for square and hexagonal lattices within the framework of an algebraic model.

Ontology‐Aligned Structuring and Reuse of Multimodal Materials Data and Workflows Toward Automatic Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Reproduction of stacking fault energy calculations from literature with a semi‐automated large language model‐assisted extraction procedure: extraction of simulation protocol, atomistic structures, computational parameters, and reported results, ontology alignment, knowledge graph construction and, finally, recomputation forvalidation.

Spanning Trees of Lattices Embedded on the Klein Bottle

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
The problem of enumerating spanning trees in lattices with Klein bottle boundary condition is considered here. The exact closed-form expressions of the numbers of spanning trees for 4.8.8 lattice, hexagonal lattice, and 33·42 lattice on the Klein bottle ...
