Hexane-1,6-diammonium dinitrate [PDF]
The hexane-1,6-diammonium cation of the title compound, C(6)H(18)N(2) (2+)·2NO(3) (-), lies across a crystallographic inversion centre and shows significant deviation from planarity in the hydro-carbon chain. This is evident from the torsion angle of -64.0°(2) along the N-C-C-C bond and thse torsion angle of -67.1°(2) along the C-C-C-C bonds.

Charge-transfer photodissociation of adsorbed molecules via electron image states
The 248nm and 193nm photodissociation of submonolayer quantities of CH$_3$Br and CH$_3$I adsorbed on thin layers of n-hexane indicate that the dissociation is caused by dissociative electron attachment from sub-vacuum level photoelectrons created in the ...

Highly-functionalised difluorinated cyclohexane polyols via the Diels–Alder reaction : regiochemical control via the phenylsulfonyl group [PDF]
A difluorinated dienophile underwent cycloaddition reactions with a range of furans to afford cycloadducts whichcould be processed regio- and stereoselectively via episulfonium ions, generated by the reaction between their alkenyl groups and ...

4,4′-(Hexane-1,6-diyldioxy)dianiline [PDF]
The complete molecule of the title compound, C(18)H(24)N(2)O(2), is generated by a crystallographic inversion centre. The torsion angles in the hexa-methyl-ene chain are consistent with an anti-periplanar conformation, whereas the conformation of the O-CH(2)-CH(2)-CH(2) unit is gauche.

This study explores the mechanical performance of three auxetic structures, identifying a re‐entrant‐star hybrid as the most effective for impact absorption. Finite element simulations and experiments demonstrate significant gains in energy absorption and flexural strength after geometric optimization. This study investigates the mechanical performance

Hexane-1,6-diammonium hexafluorosilicate [PDF]
The asymmetric unit of the title organic–inorganic molecular salt, C6H18N2 2+·SiF6 2−, consists of one anion and one cation together with half of each of two cations and two anions located on inversion centres. The SiF6 2− octahedral anions are arranged to form sheets parallel to (011), which are ...

Hexane neem leaf extract more potent than ethanol extract against Aspergillus flavus [PDF]
Background Aspergillus flavus is one of the causes of aspergillosis, with a high virulence and resistance to standard antifungals, resulting in a high mortality rate. Medicinal plants are increasingly used as they are relatively safer with minimal side
