Domino Synthesis of Functionalized Cyclic Acetals From Organic Carbonates
Advanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.Cyclic carbonates equipped with acrylic functional groups are shown to undergo a domino process in the presence of a suitable alkoxide to deliver novel types of decorated cyclic acetals. The developed protocol combines practical conditions and a wide scope and features a new reactivity modus for these carbon dioxide‐derived heterocyclic precursors.

Advanced Science, EarlyView.A field‐effect transistor incorporating type‐I InP/ZnSe core–shell quantum dots demonstrates light‐ and gate‐tunable synaptic plasticity. By leveraging field‐assisted photoinduced charge trapping, the device emulates essential neuromorphic functions, including paired‐pulse facilitation, memory consolidation, and classical conditioning.
