Metabolomic investigation of cisplatin‐induced acute kidney injury in paediatric cancer patients
Aim Cisplatin causes acute kidney injury (AKI) in approximately 46% of paediatric cancer patients who receive it. Serum creatinine (SCr) is a poor biomarker of cisplatin nephrotoxicity, because there is a delay between cisplatin infusion and SCr elevation.

ABSTRACT Yeast sugar transporters have highly evolved for preferential glucose transport, a significant roadblock for utilizing non‐glucose sugars in renewable feedstocks such as lignocellulosic biomass. To enable simultaneous transport of multiple sugars, native hexose transporters were replaced by SWEET7p from Arabidopsis thaliana in engineered ...

Stereoselective Synthesis of Glycomimetic Amines From Biomass‐Derived Cyrene
2,3,4‐Trideoxy‐2‐mannosamines, including the unsubstituted one, are accessible as the only endo diastereoisomers by reductive amination of the green solvent Cyrene, derived from pyrolysis of cellulose containing waste biomass. The products are useful chiral synthetic intermediate to nitrogenated glycomimetics.

Carbohydrate composition of rat intestine surface mucus layer after ceftriaxone treatment [PDF]
The epidemiological studies have shown that antibiotic treatment increases the susceptibility to inflammatory bowel disease development. The disturbance of mucus layer integrity might be one of the possible mechanisms. The aim of the present study was to
