Ancient depletion signals in lherzolites from forearc region: Constraints from Lu-Hf isotope compositions

open access: yesGeoscience Frontiers, 2022
Abstract The sub-arc mantle that experienced hydrous melting is commonly characterized by refractory geochemical compositions. Nevertheless, minor lherzolites with fertile compositions have also been reported for mantle peridotites from subduction zone. The petrogenesis and mantle source of the lherzolites are still controversial.

Hf–Nd–Pb isotope evidence from Permian arc rocks for the long-term presence of the Indian–Pacific mantle boundary in the SW Pacific

open access: yes, 2007
Trace element and initial Hf-Nd-Pb isotopic composition of a series of late Paleozoic arc rocks from South Island, New Zealand show evidence for the presence of Indian-type mantle in the Permian SW Pacific.

Stable oxygen and carbon isotope compositional fields for skeletal and diagenetic components in New Zealand Cenozoic nontropical carbonate sediments and limestones: A synthesis and review

open access: yes, 1996
The stable oxygen isotope composition (δ18O) of a precipitated carbonate depends mainly on the isotope composition, salinity, and temperature of the host fluid, whereas the stable carbon isotope composition (δ13C) reflects the source of CO2 for ...

U-Pb age and Hf-Nd-Sr-Cu-S isotope systematics of the Binyuda and Dyumtaley ore-bearing intrusions (Taimyr, Russia)

open access: yesЛитосфера, 2016
We present for the first time U-Pb age data and Hf-Nd-Sr-Cu-S isotope signatures for lithologies and associated sulphide ores from the Binyuda and Dyumtaley ultramafic-mafic intrusions located in the limits of the Taimyr Peninsula (Russian Arctic ...

Abundant Ancient Melt‐Depleted Peridotite Beneath the Marion Rise, Southwest Indian Ocean, Effects on Basalt Composition and Dynamic Topography

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems
The Marion Rise (MR) at the central Southwest Indian Ridge (SWIR) is an ultra‐slow spreading ridge with thin crust, shallow ridge depth, sparse basaltic coverage, and exposed peridotite.

Petrogenesis and implications of the Dupangling compound granite in southern Hunan Province, China: Constraints from mineralogical chemistry, zircon U-Pb age, geochemistry and Nd-Hf isotope

open access: yesDizhi lixue xuebao, 2022
In this paper, zircon SHRIMP U-Pb geochronology, petrology, mineral chemistry, petrogeochemistry, Sm-Nd and Lu-Hf isotopes were studied for the eastern part of the Dupangling pluton, which is located at the western section of Nanling at the junction of ...

Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopic composition of late paleozoic granitoids of Central Chukotka

open access: yesДоклады Академии наук, 2019
Results of the study of Sr–Nd–Pb–Hf isotopic composition of Late Paleozoic granitoids of Central Chukotka are represented on the example of Kibera and Kuekvun plutons. The age of granitoids of these plutons and granites from pebbles in conglomerates in the base of overlying Lower Carboniferous deposits is 351–363 Ma (U–Pb zircon, TIMS, SIMS, LA–ICP–MS).

MicroCT reinvestigation of the only articulated fossil anostomid fish reveals synonymy of Arhinolemur Ameghino, 1898 and Megaleporinus Ramirez et al., 2017

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Arhinolemur scalabrinii† Ameghino, 1898 was originally described as a strepsirrhine primate (Mammalia) but has been recognized as an anostomid fish since 2012. It remains the only extinct anostomid species known from complete cranial material.

Geochemical, isotopic, and zircon (U-Pb, O, Hf isotopes) evidence for the magmatic sources of the volcano-plutonic Ollo de Sapo Formation, Central Iberia

open access: yesGeologica Acta, 2017
The Ollo de Sapo Formation comprises variably metamorphosed felsic peraluminous volcanic rocks and highlevel granites that crop out over some 600km from the Cantabrian coast to central Spain in the northern part of the Central Iberian Zone.
