Modelling seasonal HFMD with the recessive infection in Shandong, China
Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is one of the majorpublic-health problems in China. Based on the HFMD data of the Department of Health of Shandong Province, we propose a dynamic model with periodic transmission rates to investigate the seasonal HFMD.

Impact of Air Pollution in Modifying the Relationship Between Climatic Variables and Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease: A Multi-City Time Series Study in Jiangsu Province, China. [PDF]
Abstract Previous research has primarily focused on the impact of climatic variables and air pollution on Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD). However, there remains limited understanding of how air pollution levels modify these relationships across different regions and populations.

Effects of behaviour change on HFMD transmission
We propose a hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) transmission model for children with behaviour change and imperfect quarantine. The symptomatic and quarantined states obey constant behaviour change while others follow variable behaviour change depending on the numbers of new and recent infections.

Optimal Control Strategies of HFMD in Wenzhou, China [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate the dynamics and optimal control strategies of a modified hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) model incorporating the EV-A71 vaccination in Wenzhou, China, analytically and numerically. We define the basic reproduction number R0 and show that it can be used to determine whether HFMD becomes extinct or not.

ENHANCING HEALTH CARE MANAGEMENT ON HFMD
Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a viral disease and mainly infects infants and young children below five years of age. It’s caused by Enterovirus, most commonly the Coxsackie virus. The viruses that cause HFMD spread through close personal contact, through the air from coughing and the faeces of an infected person.

•We assume that HFMD cases would probably increase and develop the same pattern as people returning to work and children returning to school or day-care.•It's indispensable to alert the dual outbreak of COVID-19 and HFMD in the coming season.

A reaction-diffusion HFMD model with nonsmooth treatment function [PDF]
AbstractHand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a contagious viral illness that commonly affects infants and children. In some areas with high incidence of this disease, the relevant departments often use some strategies to strengthen treatment when the number of infected individuals exceeds a certain threshold.

Severity detection tool for patients with infectious disease
Hand foot and mouth disease (HFMD) and tetanus are serious infectious diseases in low- and middle-income countries. Tetanus, in particular, has a high mortality rate and its treatment is resource-demanding.
