Higher-order mode (HOM) damper design using HFSS
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1993This paper reports results of using High‐Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) to design a Smythe‐type broadband longitudinal HOM damper for the SSCL low energy booster (LEB) ferrite‐tuned cavity. The code is also used to check the effect of arranging resistive loads in an azimuthally asymmetric pattern to damp transverse modes.

Microwave low pass filter based on CSRR using HFSS
2016 International Conference on Research Advances in Integrated Navigation Systems (RAINS), 2016Microwave filter are two-port network, reciprocal, passive, linear device which attenuate heavily the unwanted signalfrequencies while permitting transmission of wantedfrequencies. A novel low-pass filter using complementary split ring resonators (CSRRs) for transmission zero control and sharp-rejection is presented.

Antenna gain determination using a microwave CAD tool - HFSS

Different antennas have been designed for different applications based on the characteristics of the receiving side. Antennas cannot be fabricated as such and then be studied on. This leads to waste of material and requires a lot of iterations until we get the final design.

Patch antenna design using HFSS with MATLAB-API
2017The main subject of this thesis is to design and optimize a microstrip antenna and specifically a half E-shaped patch antenna. The design of the antenna is realized by utilizing the HFSS-MATLAB-API toolbox through MATLAB. Subsequently, the entire structure is simulated in Ansoft-HFSS.
