The research explores the use of hydroxyl (HHO) gas as a renewable energy source due to the over-reliance on fossil fuels in conventional engines. An HHO cell is designed to produce hydrogen gas used in conventional generators. The cell uses electrolysis of water and potassium hydroxide as a catalyst.

This research presents a novel approach to frequency control in isolated hybrid microgrids by developing an adaptive fractional‐order PI controller. The controller is optimized using the Harris Hawks Optimization algorithm, enhanced with the Balloon Effect (HHO + BE), to ensure high precision and adaptability.
