Chromatin Profiles of Chromosomally Integrated Human Herpesvirus-6A [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Human herpesvirus-6A (HHV-6A) and 6B (HHV-6B) are two closely related betaherpesviruses that are associated with various diseases including seizures and encephalitis.

Inherited chromosomally integrated human herpesvirus 6: regional variation in prevalence, association with angina, and identification of ancestral viral lineages in two large UK studies

open access: yesJournal of Virology
Tens of millions of people worldwide have inherited chromosomally integrated human herpesvirus 6 (iciHHV-6), yet we know little about the consequences.

Molecular Engineering for Enhanced Second‐Order Nonlinear Response in Spontaneously‐Oriented Evaporated Organic Films

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Intramolecular bridge‐locking frustrates detrimental anti‐parallel packing in evaporated organic films. This design enhances net polar orientation, leading to a twofold off‐resonance increase in the second‐order nonlinear susceptibility (χ(2)) without electric‐field poling.

Human herpesvirus-6 infection in liver transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Rejection and infections are the two most common complications after liver transplantation. Human herpesvirus-6 (HHV-6) belongs to the betaherpesviruses, together with its close relatives cytomegalovirus (CMV) and human herpesvirus-7 (HHV-7).

HHV‐6 and hippocampal volume in patients with mesial temporal sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, 2020
Objective To study the effects of human herpes virus 6 (HHV‐6) on the hippocampal volume in patients with mesial temporal sclerosis (MTS). Background HHV‐6 may play an etiologic role in MTS.

Pesquisa de herpesvírus 6 em amostras de tecido cerebral de pacientes submetidos à cirurgia como tratamento para epilepsia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) is a Betaherpesvirus associated with Roseola Infantum (Exanthema Subitum) in primary infection. Due to its neurotropic characteristic and latency in the central nervous system, many reports associate HHV-6 with epilepsy ...

Combined effect of increasing the post‐reformer temperature and adding red mud as a secondary catalyst in the thermocatalytic reforming of digestate

open access: yesBiofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefining, EarlyView.
Abstract This work studies the combined effect of increasing the post‐reformer temperature and introducing red mud as a support catalyst in the thermocatalytic reforming (TCR®) of digestate. The TCR® method, developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology UMSICHT (abbreviated as Fraunhofer UMSICHT), is an extension

HHV-6 in Cerebrospinal Fluid in Immunocompetent Children

open access: yesBioMed, 2023
Background: Human herpes virus-6 (HHV-6) is a ubiquitous virus known as an etiological agent of exanthem subitum. HHV-6-encephalitis in immunocompetent children is a rare complication of the primary infection.
