[HHV-7 infection of CD4 gene-transduced cells].

Nihon rinsho. Japanese journal of clinical medicine, 1998
It has been reported recently that CD4 is a major component of the receptor for human herpesvirus-7 (HHV-7), which has been newly identified as a T-lymphotropic virus. To investigate further the role of CD4 in HHV-7 infection, we examined the susceptibility to HHV-7 infection of various CD4-negative or weakly positive cell lines into which the cDNA for

[Human herpesviruses 6 and 7 (HHV-6 and HHV-7)].

La Revue du praticien, 2000
Human herpesviruses 6 (HHV-6) and 7 (HHV-7) are world wide T lymphotropic viruses recently discovered. Their transmission is essentially by salivary route. Human herpesvirus-6 (HHV-6), a T-lymphotropic herpesvirus, belongs to one of two variants, A or B (HHV-6A and HHV-6B). HHV-6B is the cause of exanthem subitum (ES) which had a wide spectrum of related illnesses in the central nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, and blood cells including fatal outcome, however, a clear etiologic ...
