Connecting curve: A new tool for locating hidden attractors
Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2021Attractors in nonlinear dynamical systems can be categorized as self-excited attractors and hidden attractors. In contrast to self-excited attractors, which can be located by the standard numerical computational method, hidden attractors are hard to detect due to the fact that its basin of attraction is away from the proximity to equilibrium.

Multi-scroll hidden attractors and multi-wing hidden attractors in a 5-dimensional memristive system
Chinese Physics B, 2017A novel 5-dimensional (5D) memristive chaotic system is proposed, in which multi-scroll hidden attractors and multi-wing hidden attractors can be observed on different phase planes. The dynamical system has multiple lines of equilibria or no equilibrium when the system parameters are appropriately selected, and the multi-scroll hidden attractors and ...

Role of UPOs in Characterizing the Hidden Attractors: A Comparison with Self-Excited Attractors
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos in Applied Sciences and EngineeringIn this paper, we detect Unstable Periodic Orbits (UPOs) of both self-excited and hidden attractors using the Damped Newton–Raphson–Mees algorithm. This study answers one of the long-standing questions about the size of a hidden attractor.

Control of multistability in hidden attractors
The European Physical Journal Special Topics, 2015Hidden attractors have a basin of attraction which is not connected with unstable equilibrium. Certain systems with hidden attractor show multistability for a range of parameter. Multistability or coexistence of different attractors in nonlinear systems often creates inconvenience and therefore, needs to be avoided to obtain a desired specific output ...

Recent new examples of hidden attractors
The European Physical Journal Special Topics, 2015Hidden attractors represent a new interesting topic in the chaos literature. These attractors have a basin of attraction that does not intersect with small neighborhoods of any equilibrium points. Oscillations in dynamical systems can be easily localized numerically if initial conditions from its open neighborhood lead to a long-time oscillation.

Four-Wing Hidden Attractors with One Stable Equilibrium Point
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos in Applied Sciences and Engineering, 2020Although multiwing hidden attractor chaotic systems have attracted a lot of interest, the currently reported multiwing hidden attractor chaotic systems are either with no equilibrium point or with an infinite number of equilibrium points.

Hidden attractor and regions of attraction
2017 27th International Conference Radioelektronika (RADIOELEKTRONIKA), 2017This article introduced regions of attraction for new phenomenon in the field of chaotic systems: hidden attractor. Furthermore gives an answer to the question about the size of regions of attraction for stable equilibrium, hidden attractor and solutions of differential equations leading to infinity.
