Hub genes and diagnostic model associated with mitochondrial function in Alzheimer's disease
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common neurodegenerative disorder, and mitochondrial dysfunction has been confirmed in AD patients and mouse models. However, the pathogenic genes associated with AD and early diagnostic methods based on mitochondrial function remain to be explored.

Hierarchical shrinkage in time-varying parameter models [PDF]
In this paper, we forecast EU-area inflation with many predictors using time-varying parameter models. The facts that time-varying parameter models are parameter-rich and the time span of our data is relatively short motivate a desire for shrinkage.

ABSTRACT Shell middens in Gippsland along the eastern half of Victoria's coastline have usually been characterised as small, short‐duration camp sites with relatively low shell densities and low taxonomic diversity. Here we present new excavation results from a dense, high‐diversity site at Red Bluff near the eastern end of GunaiKurnai Country, a ...

Stochastic Collapsed Variational Inference for Sequential Data
Stochastic variational inference for collapsed models has recently been successfully applied to large scale topic modelling. In this paper, we propose a stochastic collapsed variational inference algorithm in the sequential data setting. Our algorithm is

Objectives The aim of this study is to generate hypotheses about unknown drugs associated with the onset or worsening of Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) and to explore their potential pathophysiologic mechanisms through a mixed disproportionality/clustering analysis from the World Health Organization (WHO) pharmacovigilance database.

Bayesian Age-Period-Cohort Modeling and Prediction - BAMP
The software package BAMP provides a method of analyzing incidence or mortality data on the Lexis diagram, using a Bayesian version of an age-period-cohort model. A hierarchical model is assumed with a binomial model in the first-stage.

ABSTRACT Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is characterized by certain difficulties in emotion‐related processing. Recent research using electroencephalography (EEG) to measure somatosensory evoked potentials during emotion perception has shown reduced embodiment of emotional expressions in autistic compared to neurotypical individuals, independently from

Bayesian Workflow for Generative Modeling in Computational Psychiatry
Computational (generative) modelling of behaviour has considerable potential for clinical applications. In order to unlock the potential of generative models, reliable statistical inference is crucial. For this, Bayesian workflow has been suggested which,
