Facile synthesis of hierarchical porous VOx@carbon composites for supercapacitors

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2014
Hierarchical or micro-nano structured porous VOx@carbon composites were synthesized by a one-step method using phenolic resin as the carbon precursor and ammonium metavanadate as the source of vanadium oxides. The effects of the vanadium source loading on the microstructure and electrochemical properties of the composites were investigated.

Hierarchically Porous Carbons Derived from Nonporous Coordination Polymers

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2020
Hierarchically porous carbons (HPCs) with multimodal pore systems exhibit great technological potentials, especially in the fields of heterogeneous catalysis, energy storage, and conversion. Here, we establish a simple and general approach to HPCs by carbonization of nonporous coordination polymers that are produced by mixing metal salts with polytopic

Fabrication of Hierarchical Porous Carbon Nanoflakes for High-Performance Supercapacitors

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2017
In the current work, the carbon nanoflakes (CNs-Fe/KOH) and porous carbon (PC-Ni/KOH) have been produced by using Fe(NO3)3/KOH and Ni(NO3)2/KOH as the cographitization/activation catalysts to treat the natural plane tree fluff, respectively. The as-prepared carbon materials show different morphologies when treated with different metal ions.

Hierarchically Porous Calcium Carbonate Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering

ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering, 2017
Hierarchically porous CaCO3 scaffolds comprised of micro- (diameter = 2.0 ± 0.3 μm) and nano-sized (diameter = 50.4 ± 14.4 nm) pores were fabricated on silicon substrates using a supercritical CO2-based process. Differentiated human THP-1 monocytes exposed to the CaCO3 scaffolds produced negligible levels of the inflammatory cytokine tumor necrosis ...

Fabrication of high performance structural N-doped hierarchical porous carbon for supercapacitors

, 2020
In this paper, a method to fabricate structural N-doped hierarchical porous carbon is proposed. KOH and melamine are found to have synergistically impact on the pore-creating and nitrogen-doping process.
