High-frequency vector harmonic mode locking driven by acoustic resonances [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2019
A controllable passive harmonic mode locking (HML) in an erbium-doped fiber laser with a soliton pulse shaping using a single-wall carbon nanotube has been experimentally demonstrated. By increasing the pump power and adjusting the in-cavity polarization controller, we reached the 51st-order harmonic (902 MHz) having the output power of 37 mW.

Air‐Pressure–Actuated Vibroacoustic Metamaterial With Tunable Bandgap: Design, Modeling, and Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the design, modeling, and characterization of air‐pressure–actuated programmable vibroacoustic metamaterials (PVAMM). The study focuses on leveraging air pressure to dynamically tune resonance frequencies for effective noise attenuation.

Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.

Coexistence of Bloch and Parametric Mechanisms of High-Frequency Gain in Doped Superlattices

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2023
The detailed theoretical study of high-frequency signal gain, when a probe microwave signal is comparable to the AC pump electric field in a semiconductor superlattice, is presented.

An interferometer experiment to explore the aspect angle dependence of stimulated electromagnetic emission spectra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
International audienceWhen the Earth's ionosphere is irradiated by a radiofrequency (RF) electromagnetic wave of sufficiently high power density and tuned to match a natural E- or F-region plasma frequency, ionospheric magnetoionic wave modes may be ...

Molecular Dynamics Studies of Shape Memory Polymers: From Bead–Spring Models to Atomistic Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

Coordinated optical and radar observations of ionospheric pumping for a frequency pass through the second electron gyroharmonic at HAARP [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
On 4 February 2005, the High-frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) facility was operated in O and X mode while pointing into the magnetic zenith to produce artificial optical emissions in the ionospheric F layer. The pump frequency was set to

Controls for the generation of high-order harmonics and attosecond pulses by an infrared laser field combined with a low-frequency pulse

open access: yes, 2012
We investigate high-order harmonic generations by controlling various quantum paths of harmonics in an infrared laser field which combines a low-frequency pulse.

Exciton Binding Energy of Phosphorescent Emitter Molecules in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Energy level alignment is key to efficient OLED design, yet determining LUMO energies remains challenging. A methodology based on field‐induced dissociation and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations is presented to extract LUMO energies of iridium‐based phosphorescent emitters from their exciton binding energy.

Vibrational state effect on frequency modulation of harmonic emission from H2+

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2019
High-order harmonic generation from H2+ with different vibrational states has been theoretically investigated. The results show that the red-shifts of the harmonics can be found in the lower vibrational states. As the vibrational state increases, the red-
