Household Appliance Classification Using Lower Odd-Numbered Harmonics and the Bagging Decision Tree

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) systems have gained popularity in recent years for saving more energy. To reduce sensing infrastructure costs, NILM monitors the electrical loads based on a machine learning method.

Electric vehicle battery performance investigation based on real world current harmonics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Electric vehicle (EV) powertrains consist of power electronic components as well as electric machines to manage the energy flow between different powertrain subsystems and to deliver the necessary torque and power requirements at the wheels.

Modified integration method for amplitude estimation of fundamental frequency measuring signal for power system protection [PDF]

open access: yesTehnika, 2014
The integration method for amplitude estimation of fundamental frequency signal, using appropriate integration interval, can be used when measuring signal is composed of fundamental and high harmonics of order 2n or fundamental and high harmonics of ...

High-frequency vector harmonic mode locking driven by acoustic resonances [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2019
A controllable passive harmonic mode locking (HML) in an erbium-doped fiber laser with a soliton pulse shaping using a single-wall carbon nanotube has been experimentally demonstrated. By increasing the pump power and adjusting the in-cavity polarization controller, we reached the 51st-order harmonic (902 MHz) having the output power of 37 mW.

Plasma-Induced Frequency Chirp of Intense Femtosecond Lasers and Its Role in Shaping High-Order Harmonic Spectral Lines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We investigate the self-phase modulation of intense femtosecond laser pulses propagating in an ionizing gas and its effects on collective properties of high-order harmonics generated in the medium.

Effect of diotic versus dichotic presentation on the pitch perception of tone complexes at medium and very high frequencies

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Difference limens for fundamental frequency (F0), F0DLs, are usually small for complex tones containing low harmonics that are resolved in the auditory periphery, but worsen when the rank of the lowest harmonic increases above about 6–8 and harmonics ...

VUV frequency combs from below-threshold harmonics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Recent demonstrations of high-harmonic generation (HHG) at very high repetition frequencies (~100 MHz) may allow for the revolutionary transfer of frequency combs to the vacuum ultraviolet (VUV).

Harmonics asynchronous torques in wound rotor induction motor with frequency converter in the rotor [PDF]

open access: yesMining and Metallurgy Engineering Bor, 2014
The subject of this paper is the harmonics asynchronous torqueses which appear due to the presence of high time harmonics in the voltage and current of wound rotor induction motor whose speed is regulated by frequency converter in the rotor circuit ...

Improved current-regulated delta modulator for reducing switching frequency and low-frequency current error in permanent magnet brushless AC drives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The conventional current-regulated delta modulator (CRDM) results in a high current ripple and a high switching frequency at low rotational speeds, and in low-frequency current harmonics, including a fundamental current error, at high rotational speeds ...

Reduced Switching-Frequency Active Harmonic Elimination for Multilevel Converters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This paper presents a reduced switching-frequency active-harmonic-elimination method (RAHEM) to eliminate any number of specific order harmonics of multilevel converters.
