A Systematic Study of GelMA‐Carbopol Bioinks for High‐Fidelity Extrusion 3D Bioprinting at Physiological Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Gonzalez Martinez and collaborators develop a strategy to formulate high performance GelMA‐based bioinks with low solids contents. The resulting bioinks enable 3D bioprinting at 37 °C of high‐fidelity structures with tunable mechanical properties that support high cell viability and function.

Ventilation by external high-frequency oscillation in cats

open access: yes, 1985
Eight anesthetized tracheostomized cats were placed in an 8.2-liter airtight chamber with the trachea connected to the exterior. Thirty-two combinations of high-frequency oscillations (HFO) (0.5–30 Hz; 25–100 ml) were delivered for 10 min each in random

Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.

Does El Nino Affect Business Cycles [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we test to see if the El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) phenomenon has an influence on national business cycles. If El Niño has any effect at all on business cycles and economic growth, one would expect it, at the very least, to affect ...

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy in Bionanotechnology: Current Advances and Future Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) enables the nanoscale mapping of electrostatic surface potentials. While widely applied in materials science, its use in biological systems remains emerging. This review presents recent advances in KPFM applied to biological samples and provides a critical perspective on current limitations and future directions for

Physical modeling of oscillation effect on fluid flow in mold

open access: yesMetalurgija, 2015
This paper focuses on physical modeling of oscillation effect. Two new similarity criterions, π1 = fl/ v and π2 = A / l, characterizing the effect of frequency and amplitude respectively on fluid flow, are obtained by dimension analysis method.
