A Fully Integrated 0.48 THz FMCW Radar Sensor in a SiGe Technology
The THz gap has been a significant research objective for photonics and electronics for decades. This work introduces a fully integrated frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) radar sensor with a center frequency of 0.48 THz, realized in a silicon ...

General circulation of the middle atmosphere, part 1.4B [PDF]
In both the tropical and extratropical regions there are a large number of dynamical problems which can be addressed by mesosphere-stratosphere-troposphere (MST) radars. The distinct advantage the MST radar has over rocket observations is continuous data

Phased Array Systems in Silicon [PDF]
Phased array systems, a special case of MIMO systems, take advantage of spatial directivity and array gain to increase spectral efficiency. Implementing a phased array system at high frequency in a commercial silicon process technology presents several ...

Review of the frequency stabilization of TEA CO2 laser oscillators [PDF]
Most applications of TEA CO2 lasers in heterodyne radar systems require that the transmitter has a high degree of frequency stability. This ensures good Doppler resolution and maximizes receiver sensitivity.

High frequency surface wave radar demonstrator
High Frequency Surface Wave Radar (HFSWR) is used around the globe for the mapping of sea currents and coastal monitoring of the Exclusive Economic Zone. Decision to build an HF radar at the University of Cape Town (UCT) was made by Daniel O’Hagan and Andrew Wilkinson in February 2015 immediately after seeing a demonstration of the CODAR system at IMT.
