Time to Diagnosis Among Children and Adolescents With Cancer in Québec, Canada: A Population‐Based Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Timely cancer diagnosis in children and adolescents is important to improving outcomes. We aimed to quantify time to diagnosis and assess variations by patient, demographic and system‐level factors. Procedure We conducted a population‐based study of individuals aged 0–19 years diagnosed with one of 12 cancers from 2010 to 2022 in ...

Impact of Japan's 2024 Physician Work‐Style Reform on Pediatric Hematology–Oncology: Educational Implications in a 2‐Year Survey

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Japan's 2024 physician work‐style reform introduced legally binding limits on physicians’ working hours, but its impact on education and workforce sustainability in pediatric hematology–oncology (PHO) remains unclear. Procedure We conducted a repeated cross‐sectional study with structured quantitative items and free‐text responses ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Study of medium frequency transformer by using ultra‐thin silicon steel sheet in DC‐DC converter

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2022
In order to solve the problems of poor thermal stability and high frequency noise of transformer in traditional DC‐DC converter, the medium frequency transformer in isolated DC‐DC converter is designed and studied, which adopts 0.15 mm ultra‐thin silicon

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Features of the high frequency power transformer calculation

open access: yesNauka ta progres transportu, 2013
Purpose. The windings of power transformers have low resistance value and a most inductance, which reduces the rate of rise of current in the windings.

Monthly runoff prediction using the VMD-LSTM-Transformer hybrid model: a case study of the Miyun Reservoir in Beijing

open access: yesJournal of Water and Climate Change, 2023
Accurate runoff prediction is of great significance for flood prevention and mitigation, agricultural irrigation, and reservoir scheduling in watersheds. To address the strong non-linear and non-stationary characteristics of runoff series, a hybrid model

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Wide-Band Characteristic Analysis and Compensation Research of Electromagnetic Current Transformer

open access: yesEnergies
In order to realize the wide frequency applicability of the electromagnetic current transformer in a ‘double high’ power system, the equivalent circuit model of the electromagnetic current transformer under wide frequency is established.
