CT and Ultrasound Guided Stereotactic High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2006To demonstrate the feasibility of CT and B‐mode Ultrasound (US) targeted HIFU, a prototype coaxial focused ultrasound transducer was registered and integrated to a CT scanner. CT and diagnostic ultrasound were used for HIFU targeting and monitoring, with the goals of both thermal ablation and non‐thermal enhanced drug delivery.

High intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology for body contouring
Journal of Aesthetic Nursing, 2019Non-invasive body contouring is an area of aesthetic medicine that is becoming increasingly sought after. In this article, Alexandru Karkhi and Rumi Kisyova explore high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology and its application in body contouring treatments

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for Biomedical and Dentistry Applications
2016We study the physical phenomena and the application of HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) using simulation and experiment. The experiment was done with a bowl-shaped focused ultrasound system. High speed videos of the generation of cavitation bubbles at the focal point of the HIFU are captured. We observed interesting bubble cloud structures, and

High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) Treatment for Prostate Cancer
Radiology and Molecular ImagingHigh-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) represents an emerging minimally invasive treatment modality for prostate cancer. This technology employs focused ultrasound waves to ablate prostate tissue, offering a precise and targeted strategy for the management of localized prostate cancer. The present paper aims to deliver a comprehensive review of HIFU,
