Pay Attention to Condition of Stored Corn [PDF]
Quality of stored grain must be maintained through the entire summer period, until stocks can be rotated in the fall. Summer storage is challenging because warm temperatures and high relative humidities put even dry grain at risk for mold and insect ...

Performance of Farm-Type Moisture Meters [PDF]
Three farm-type moisture meters (Dickey-john DJMC, Dole 400-B, and Electrex DMT-2)* were compared to USDA-approved oven methods on 225 corn samples (10.4% - 33.8% moisturet) and 96 soybean samples (8.0% - 16.6% moisture) from the 1984 crop.

Feeding High Moisture, Ensiled, Moldy Shelled Corn
Abstract Under field conditions, high intakes of high moistures, ensiled, moldy shelled corn reportedly produced symptoms of tetany in lactating dairy cows. Samples of the moldy corn were substituted for 50 and 100% of the normal corn in a dairy ration. Attempts to reproduce the symptoms of tetany in lactating cows were unsuccessful.

Design, Simulation, and Test of a New Threshing Cylinder for High Moisture Content Corn
Corn harvesting mode has gradually changed from ear harvesting to direct grain harvesting. In view of the problems of high moisture content in corn harvesting in China, such as the rates of broken grains (BGR) and uncleared grains (UGR) being too high, a
