Retention Time of Peptides in Liquid Chromatography Is Well Estimated upon Deep Transfer Learning [PDF]
A fully automatic prediction for peptide retention time (RT) in liquid chromatography (LC), termed as DeepRT, was developed using deep learning approach, an ensemble of Residual Network (ResNet) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). In contrast to the traditional predictor based on the hand-crafted features for peptides, DeepRT learns features from raw ...

WENO scheme on characteristics for the equilibrium dispersive model of chromatography with generalized Langmuir isotherms [PDF]
Column chromatography is a laboratory and industrial technique used to separate different substances mixed in a solution. Mathematically, it can be modelled using non-linear partial differential equations whose main ingredients are the adsorption isotherms, which are non-linear functions modelling the affinity between the different substances in the ...

Osimertinib reduces angiogenesis and PDL1 expression in in ovo tumors, transforming them into ‘cold tumors’ with lower immune activity. Anatomopathological and transcriptomic analyses highlight its therapeutic impact on tumor biology. This study underscores osimertinib's potential to reshape the tumor microenvironment and provides insights into its ...

Denaturing high‐performance liquid chromatography: A review
Denaturing high‐performance liquid chromatography (DHPLC) compares two or more chromosomes as a mixture of denatured and reannealed PCR amplicons, revealing the presence of a mutation by the differential retention of homo‐ and heteroduplex DNA on ...

Analysis of gamma-amino butyric acid in the germinated brown rice by pre-column derivatization with 2, 4-dinitrofluorobenzene [PDF]
This paper reports the analytical method for gamma-amino butyric acid in the germinated brown rice by liquid chromatography. GABA was derivatized by pre-column derivatization with 2, 4-dinitrofluorobenzene. To separate GABA in the germinated brown rice extracts containing various amino acids, we reviewed the influence of the kind of separation columns ...

Mapping Hsp104 interactions using cross‐linking mass spectrometry
This study examines how cross‐linking mass spectrometry can be utilized to analyze ATP‐induced conformational changes in Hsp104 and its interactions with substrates. We developed an analytical pipeline to distinguish between intra‐ and inter‐subunit contacts within the hexameric homo‐oligomer and discovered contacts between Hsp104 and a selected ...

Prediction of rice texture from starch profiles measured using high-performance liquid chromatography [PDF]
Starch determines a large proportion of the textural properties of cooked rice. The amylose: amylopectin ratio plays a significant role in the functionality of native starch.

Alkane biosynthesis gene expression and its increased production in recombinant cyanobacteria
The transcription and mRNA structures of the alkane biosynthesis genes ado/aar were analysed in the representative cyanobacteria PCC 6803 and SK1‐2‐1, which produce C17H36 and C15H32, respectively. PCC 6803 transconjugants carrying these genes showed a 1.8‐ to 2.3‐fold increase in C17H36 production.
