In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Optical chromatography ultra small particles by Brownian motion in tilted optical potential induced by bound states in the continuum [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We investigate sorting Rayleigh optical particles up to several nanometers in size during Brownian motion in an tilted periodic potential with multiple deep wells. The wells are induced which by optical bound states in the continuum in a system of parallel photonic crystal slabs immersed in a liquid.

Fibrous Pb(II)‐Based Coordination Polymer Operable as a Photocatalyst and Electrocatalyst for High‐Rate, Selective CO2‐to‐Formate Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A coordination polymer [Pb(tadt)]n prepared by a microwave‐assisted solvothermal method selectively reduces CO2 into formate under visible light with a high apparent quantum yield of ≈25% at 400 nm. It can function as a pre‐catalyst, along with conductive Ketjen Black, to form an active PbCO3/Pb3(CO3)2(OH)2 mixture that exhibits a high Faradaic ...

HPLC analysis of closed, open, and reflex eye tear proteins

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 1998
Changes in the closed, open and reflex eye tear proteins of normal subjects were compared and analysed. Tear proteins were resolved by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) utilising both gel filtration (P-300 SW) and reverse-phase (C-18) columns

Hybrid Optimization Methods for Parameter Estimation of Reactive Transport Systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper presents a hybrid optimization methodology for parameter estimation of reactive transport systems. Using reduced-order advection-diffusion-reaction (ADR) models, the computational requirements of global optimization with dynamic PDE constraints are addressed by combining metaheuristics with gradient-based optimizers.

Nebulized flame ionization detection in high performance liquid chromatography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A nebulized flame ionization detector interfaced with LC was examined and found to be more versatile in applications than common LC detectors, such as UV, RID, ELSD and CAD. The technique can be used for both volatile and non-volatile analytes.
