Assay of Cefotaxime by High-Pressure-Liquid Chromatography
Chemotherapy, 1981A high-pressure-liquid chromatographic (HPLC) procedure for quantitative assay of cefotaxime (CT) and its major metabolite in serum of normal individuals, desacetyl cefotaxime (DACT), is described. It employs Lichrosorb RP-8, elution with phosphoric-acid-methanol and UV absorption at 310 nm.

Determination of Thiopental by High Pressure Liquid Chromatography
Acta Pharmacologica et Toxicologica, 1979AbstractA specific and rapid reverse phase HPLC‐method for the determination of thiopental in serum and in protein free solutions is described. No extraction is used. The detection limit is about 0.090 μg/ml for serum and about 0.030 μg/ml for buffer solutions. The retention time is 3.80 min.

Trends in High Pressure Liquid Chromatography
Berichte der Bunsengesellschaft für physikalische Chemie, 1973AbstractThe recent developments of high pressure liquid chromatography are reviewed with the emphasis on the main problems with which the users of this technic are faced: the design of more sensitive, specific detectors, the design of systems to prepare reproducible solvent gradients and to detect small concentrations of compounds in a variable ...

Separation of cytokinins by High Pressure Liquid Chromatography
Planta, 1975A number of cytokinin reference compounds have been successfully separated by High Pressure Liquid Chromatography using columns of pellicular strong cation exchange resin and of pellicular polyamide. On polyamide, all cytokinins were eluted within 10 min with an aqueous buffer but on the cation exchange resin some cytokinins (generally those with bulky

High-pressure liquid chromatography of steroidal alkaloids
Journal of Chromatography A, 1976High-pressure liquid chromatography was used to separate the following steroidal alkaloids: tomatidine, solanidine, solasodine, rubijervine, veratramine and jervine. The method was used to prepare crystalline solanidine from a crude mixture of aglycones obtained from Solanum chacoense, and to separate radioactive solanidine from extracts of potato ...

A fluorescence detector for high-pressure liquid chromatography
Journal of Chromatography A, 1977We describe a fluorescence spectrophotometer adapted with a micro quartz flow cell to record the output of modern liquid chromatographs. The optical system is double beam in that the light source variations are cancelled out by a second photomultiplier, thus enhancing the sensitivity of the technique. The emission spectra may be scanned by stopping the

Forensic aspects of high-pressure liquid chromatography
Journal of Chromatography A, 1976This paper reviews the applications of high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) to forensic problems, and discusses some of the developments that have taken place in the use of the technique in the Metropolitan Police Laboratory. Preparation of octadecyltrichlorosilane-modified silica is described and some of the chromatographic characteristics of ...

This is the first investigation in a series that aims to enhance the scientific knowledge needed for reliable analytical method transfer between HPLC and UHPLC using the quality by design (QbD) framework. Here, we investigated the differences and similarities from a thermodynamic point of view between RP-LC separations conducted with 3.5μm (HPLC) and 1.

High-pressure liquid chromatography of peptides and proteins
Journal of Chromatography A, 1978Abstract This report describes the use of hydrophobic ion-pairing reagents in the rapid analysis of peptides by reversed-phase high-pressure liquid chromatography. It was found that combination of a hydrophobic anion such as hexanesulphonate with the cationic groups (R P + of a peptide resulted in a decreased polarity of the sample. This change
