Amorphization of TiNi induced by high-pressure torsion
Using high-resolution electron microscopy, we investigated the initial stages of high-pressure-torsion-induced crystalline-to-amorphous transformation of TiNi. It is found that the deformation-induced amorphization initiated from dislocation core regions in the interior of grains and from grain boundaries.

Processing a twinning-induced plasticity steel by high-pressure torsion [PDF]
A high-manganese steel was processed by high-pressure torsion for up to 10 turns under a pressure of 6.0 GPa. The results show the development of a reasonably homogeneous structure with a peak hardness of Hv ≈ 450.

Effects of water and fluorine on the viscosity of albite melt at high pressure: a preliminary investigation [PDF]
The viscosities of fluorine- and water-bearing melts based on albite composition have been determined at 7.5, 15 and 22.5 kbar by the falling-sphere method. All melt viscosities decrease isothermally with increasing pressure.
