Topical Meeting on Laser Techniques for Extreme Ultraviolet Spectroscopy, 1982
High resolution spectroscopy in the vacuum ultraviolet region has, until recently, been limited to work with long focal length grating spectrographs. The best resolution with state-of-the-art instrumentation is approximately 250,000, but the photographic method provides simultaneous measurement of ≈ 3 × 104 data points with modest exposure times.

A high resolution muon detector
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1992Abstract The design and operation of precision drift chambers with multisampling as well as the concepts and methods for reaching an extraordinary degree of precision in mechanics and calibration are described. Specific instruments were developed for this purpose.

High-resolution EEG recording has become standard in many experimental studies on human brain function and has found its place in the routine presurgical workup of patients with focal epilepsy in several clinical centers. The main aim of high-resolution EEG is source localization with methods that have become increasingly robust and precise.

HIGH-RESOLUTION IMAGING OF THE BRAIN
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Clinics of North America, 1998Phased-array imaging at 1.5 T is a practical means of obtaining high-resolution images of the brain. Our novel coil designs and image intensity correction algorithms, which are critical for the accurate interpretation of phased-array images of the brain, are described.

High-resolution portable holocamera
IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1971The design, construction, and testing of a portable hologram microscope are described. The instrument is based on a small, reliable, pulsed ruby laser to avoid the degrading effects of vibration; the instrument weighs 7.9 kg and measures 30.5 cm x 33 cm x 15.5 cm.

Current Protocols in Human Genetics, 2005
AbstractMap order, orientation, and gap or overlap distance of closely linked DNA probes may be determined using fluorescent hybridization to decondensed DNA. The linear arrangement of released chromatin fibers not only simplifies the task of gene ordering, but also provides higher resolution with probes separated by greater distances than can be ...

Dry, High Resolution Autoradiography
Stain Technology, 1962Microtomed sections of freeze-dried, paraffin-embedded tissues are placed on pieces of thin sheet-Teflon backed by a felt pad. The sections are then pressure-mounted on dry photographic emulsion. After suitable exposure, the sections are firmly cemented to the emulsion with 0.45% cellulose acetate in a 10:1 mixture of 2-butanone and acetone.
