This paper is intended as a status report on high-speed detectors for the visible and near-infrared portion of the optical spectrum. Both vacuum and solid-state detectors are discussed, with the emphasis on those devices which can be used as direct (noncoherent) detectors of weak optical signals modulated at microwave frequencies.

High Speed Dexterous Manipulation with High Speed Vision
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2009Abstract Vision is one of most important sensors for dexterous manipulation. The sampling rate of usual vision system is 30Hz. However, it is not enough to control manipulation system in realtime. In order to solve this problem, a high-speed vision system has been developed in which the sampling rate is more than 1kHz.

Servo-spheres are robotized observation systems that produce unbounded fields for behavior observation of wandering animals. Each Servo-sphere is a vision-based control system that mainly consists of a camera, a sphere, and motorized omniwheels. As an approach to achieving high observation performance of Servo-spheres, this paper first proposes a fast ...

RESENTATION fter 3 hours of increasingly intense chest pain, our patient, 50-year-old female smoker, called an ambulance. She had xperienced 2 hours of intermittent, substernal low-intenity, dull aching chest pain, followed by 1 hour of severe nd continuous pain with radiation to the left shoulder and rm.
