Duck Orbivirus and Egg Production: A Newly Identified Duck Orbivirus Is the Etiological Agent of Egg Production Decline in Chinese Breeder Ducks

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Field samples from breeder duck farms with egg‐production decline were subjected to viral detection, genome sequencing, and virus isolation. Experimental infection demonstrated that duck orbivirus (DORV) causes a significant and persistent reduction in egg production in breeder ducks.

OGFRL1 Deficiency Causes Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis Via Pathologic Osteoclastogenesis, With Therapeutic Response to Tumor Necrosis Factor Inhibitor

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective To verify the pathogenesis of the opioid growth factor receptor like‐1 (OGFRL1) loss‐of‐function variant (c.30del, p. F10Ffs*110) identified in a patient with chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) and to investigate the underlying mechanism.

A Rare RIPK3 Variant Enhances Necroptosis and Promotes Inflammation in a Still's Disease‐like Autoinflammatory Syndrome

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objectives Still's Disease represents a prototypical polygenic systemic autoinflammatory diseases (SAIDs), characterized by recurrent systemic inflammation and dysregulation of innate immunity. Despite extensive clinical characterization, familial clustering Still's disease remains unreported.

From single nucleotide polymorphisms to high-throughput sequencing in the complex genetics of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis

open access: yes, 2012
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal neurodegenerative disease characterized by progressive weakening of limb and bulbar muscles resulting in paralysis and death from respiratory failure within three to five years of symptom onset. The disease manifests as a consequence of sudden and rapid degeneration of upper and lower motor neurones, for ...
