Effect of High Voltage Electric Field on Pineapple
Advanced Science Letters, 2013The application of high voltage electric field for preservation of fruits/juices has a promising scope in food industry. The high voltage electric field processing (EFP) is an innovative non-thermal technique and free from bio-toxic effects. The technique has a viable solution of the problem yet faced in food industry to prolong life and to preserve ...

Electric Field in High-Voltage Equipment
2010Chapters 2–4 explain basic field behavior, focusing on the enhancement of the field strength which might take place at the contact point of a solid insulating support. In this chapter, we deal with some practical examples concerning such field behavior near the point of contact in insulation systems.

A high voltage pulse generator for Pulsed Electric Field pasteurization
2010 20th International Conference on Electronics Communications and Computers (CONIELECOMP), 2010This paper describes the design and implementation of a pulse generator for food pasteurization. Such generator generates a high voltage (15 kV) square wave with a frequency in the range from 250 Hz to 30 kHz. The high voltage supplies two electrodes where, between them, the food is placed and then pasteurized.

A new technique for high voltage measurement using high voltage electric field motor
IEEE. APCCAS 1998. 1998 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Circuits and Systems. Microelectronics and Integrating Systems. Proceedings (Cat. No.98EX242), 2002In this paper, a new technique for high voltage measurement for DC and AC systems using a High Voltage Electric Field Motor (HVEFM) is proposed. The rotor speed of HVEFM is linearly proportional to the applied voltage. Therefore, the input voltage can be measured by detecting the rotor speed.

Minimization of maximum electric field in high-voltage parallel-plate capacitor
2016 39th International Convention on Information and Communication Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics (MIPRO), 2016Minimization of maximum electric field of a parallel-plate capacitor for high-voltage and temperature stable applications is presented. Cubic zirconia is used as a dielectric material because of its high relative permittivity, high dielectric strength and high temperature stability. The maximum electric field present in the structure limits the maximum

Calculation of electric fields in electrical high-voltage equipment
Russian Electrical Engineering, 2015The impact of electric fields is a factor that had a negative effect on power plant personnel and equipment. To calculate electric fields, simplified models are used. Currently, a variety of analytical and numerical methods for the calculation of electric fields have been developed.

Efficient computation of electric field in high voltage equipment
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1990The efficient indirect boundary-element method is applied to the calculation of 3-D electric fields in high-voltage devices. For solving this problem with sophisticated boundary conditions and with dielectric media, the authors adopt real surface elements, a fast and accurate computation approach, and thin-layer medium treatment.

Electric Field in the Vicinity of High Voltage Deviation Towers
2020 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical And Power Engineering (EPE), 2020There is a general concern about the impact that high voltage overhead power lines have on the environment, from the most diverse perspectives and points of view. One of the essential items to be addressed and resolved properly is the associated electric and magnetic fields, measured by convention, at a height of 1 m from the ground. Regarding strictly

Computation of Electric Field Distributions in High-Voltage Equipment
IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation, 1971In an earlier paper two of the authors described a general-purpose digital computer program suitable for solving, with considerable precision, multidielectric fields in two dimensions or in three dimensions with at least one axis of symmetry. The program, after being rigorously checked, has been extensively used for several years to solve many ...
