High Conversion Gain Millimeter-Wave Monolithic IC Quadruple Subharmonic Mixer

Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 2007
We report a high conversion gain millimeter-wave monolithic IC (MMIC) quadruple subharmonic mixer adopting a novel cascode harmonic generator for an improved conversion gain. The proposed cascode harmonic generator produces 2.9 dB higher fourth harmonic output powers on the average compared with those of the conventional multiplier.

A High Conversion Gain Wideband Mixer Design for UWB Applications

2019 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2019
A CMOS mixer with wideband input impedance matching and high conversion gain is presented in this paper. Dual RLC circuits are utilized with Gilbert mixer for wideband input matching. Capacitive feedback, and inductive series and shunt peaking techniques, are used to implement the RF port matching network. Inductive peaking is also adopted to widen the

A high gain flatness high linearity down conversion mixer for Ku band application

2011 IEEE International Symposium of Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2011
A high linearity down-conversion mixer for 12–18GHz Ku band application is presented in this paper. The proposed mixer based on Gilbert cell obtains high gain flatness. Bias current decoupling technique is adopted to suppress noise at the output. Current-injection circuit and resonating inductors at the source of switching stage are added to improve ...

High linearity and high gain bulk driven down conversion mixer for UWB system

2017 8th International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies (ICCCNT), 2017
A high gain and high linear CMOS down-conversion mixer with improved noise figure is presented for Ultra-wideband (UWB) technology. The proposed mixer is designed and simulated using 0.18μm CMOS technology for 3.432 GHz RF input frequency, 3.696 GHz LO frequency and 264 MHz output IF frequency using Key sight Advanced Design System (ADS) tool.

Zigbee transmitter using a low‐power high‐gain up‐conversion mixer

Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2017
AbstractThis article introduces a direct‐conversion CMOS RF transmitter for the IEEE 802.15.4 standard with a low‐power high‐gain up‐conversion mixer designed in 0.18 μm process. The designed RF direct‐conversion transmitter (DCT) is composed of differential digital to analog converter, passive lowpass filter, quadrature active mixer, and drive ...

A 60-GHz CMOS Down-Conversion Mixer with High Conversion Gain and Low Noise Figure

2018 16th IEEE International New Circuits and Systems Conference (NEWCAS), 2018
In this paper, we present a 60-GHz single-balanced CMOS down-conversion mixer. The proposed mixer uses an on-chip active balun to furnish a differential output from an injected single-ended local oscillator (LO) signal. The millimeter-wave (mm-wave) active balun incorporates a cascode cross-coupled structure to generate the differential LO with a high ...

Nonlinear interferometry with high-gain parametric down-conversion

2021
Interferometers have become essential devices within research and industry because they can measure phase shifts, often very small ones. Increasing the number of probing photons enhances the accuracy of this measurement, but with a bounded scaling called the shot-noise limit. The field of nonlinear interferometry studies how to surpass this limit using

A stability-ensuring procedure for designing high conversion-gain frequency doublers

1998 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (Cat. No.98CH36192), 2002
This paper presents a new general procedure for designing optimum conversion gain class B FET frequency doublers. For the first time, the two key design variables, i.e. the reflection coefficients of the input and output matching networks, /spl Gamma//sub IMN,2fo/ and /spl Gamma//sub OMN,fo/, can be independently swept without risking device ...

Gaining turns and achieving high influence ranking in small conversational groups*

British Journal of Social Psychology, 1993
Unacquainted subjects, in groups of four or five, viewed and then discussed a television programme on the topic of homosexuality. Afterwards, they ranked each group member in terms of how influential the member had been during the discussion. High‐ranking members, compared to low‐ranking members, had a greater proportion of aggregate speaking turns ...
