A frequency doubler with high conversion gain and good fundamental suppression

2004 IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium Digest (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37535), 2004
A frequency doubler architecture with high conversion gain and high suppression of the input frequency is presented. The basic form operates at supply voltages down to 1.2 V and the simple topology allows for broad band operation. The new design was applied to a K/sub u/-band frequency doubler which drives the LO port of a single-balanced Gilbert mixer.

Spatiotemporal photon correlations in high-gain parametric down-conversion

2023
The use of correlated photon pairs in conventional applications such as spectroscopy or microscopy has certainly induced the development of new technologies and with it the improvement in results. A very common process to generate photon pairs is spontaneous parametric down-conversion.

High conversion-gain pixels in a standard CMOS image sensor process

2017 IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC), 2017
This paper presents a new technique to achieve high pixel conversion gain (CG) in a standard 0.18 um CMOS image sensor process. CG of 121 uV/e- and read noise of 3.2 erms are measured in the prototype sensor.

Transceiver parameter detection using a high conversion gain RF amplitude detector

Proceedings of 2010 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2010
In this work, we present a wideband CMOS RF amplitude detector for on-chip self-test and calibration. The high conversion gain detector enables accurate on-chip amplitude measurements and allows for accurate transceiver parameter prediction. The detector operates from 500MHz to 9GHz while detecting signal amplitudes from 0 to 0.7V with a sensitivity of
