Time-slicing high dynamic range 3D imaging
Fringe projection profilometry (FPP) has been widely used in 3D measurement due to its high precision and non-contact properties. Nevertheless, it still faces great challenges in measuring scenes with complex reflectivity, in which the dynamic range of the reflected light field of the scene is significantly higher than that of the image detector.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Saliency Maps of High Dynamic Range Images [PDF]
A number of computational models of visual attention have been proposed based on the concept of saliency map. Some of them have been validated as predictors of the visual scan-path of observers looking at images and videos, using oculometric data. They are widely used for Computer Graphics applications, mainly for image rendering, in order to avoid ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

High-dynamic range compressive spectral imaging by grayscale coded aperture adaptive filtering
The coded aperture snapshot spectral imaging system (CASSI) is an imaging architecture which senses the three dimensional informa-tion of a scene with two dimensional (2D) focal plane array (FPA) coded projection measurements.

Deep HDR Deghosting by Motion-Attention Fusion Network
Multi-exposure image fusion (MEF) methods for high dynamic range (HDR) imaging suffer from ghosting artifacts when dealing with moving objects in dynamic scenes. The state-of-the-art methods use optical flow to align low dynamic range (LDR) images before

Photography as a tool of Alienation: Aura [PDF]
Regular photographical imaging record volumetric planes with smooth surfaces. The reason is the camera’s deficiency in perceiving and documenting the visual richness of “persuasive” details in life.
