Characterization of High-Energy Ball Milling of Ba Hexaferrite

Materials Science Forum, 2003
Ba-hexaferrites was synthesized by using high-energy ball milling process and particle size, densification and microstructure were characterized. BaFe 12 O 19 phase was prepared from barium carbonate and iron oxide using ball to powder ratio of 10:1 and 4:1, milled for 1 and 5 hours. Pellets were sintered from 1000 to 1300 °C.

High Energy Ball-milling of Hydrogen Titanate Nanotubes

2009
Properties of TiO2 nanostructures have been intensively studied because of the large potential of their possible applications in solar cells, electronics, sensing, photocatalysis as a catalyst support and as new material for mesoporous ion exchange. Titanate nanotubes are particularly interesting because of their large aspect ratio, and large specific ...

Response of Lanthanide Sesquioxides to High‐Energy Ball Milling

Advanced Engineering Materials
Sesquioxides (M2O3) exhibit rich polymorphism with distinct phases that form over broad compositional, pressure, and temperature ranges. This makes these materials an ideal model system for studying the effects of high‐energy ball milling and the far‐from‐equilibrium conditions induced by complex mechanical interactions.

Consolidation of High-Energy Ball Milled Nanocrystalline Al Powders

2017
High-energy ball milling (HEBM) of Al and Al based alloys results in the nanocrystalline alloys in the form of powder, which subsequently needs to be consolidated for engineering applications, as well as for the investigation of associated properties. Consolidation of HEBM nanocrystalline alloy powders is not a trivial task.

Mössbauer spectroscopic evaluation of high-energy ball-milled CdFe2O4

Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 2003
Abstract Structural and magnetic changes in cadmium ferrite, CdFe2O4, as induced by high-energy ball-milling were investigated by Mossbauer spectroscopy. Upon milling the average crystallite size was gradually reduced to the nanometer range. The size reduction was associated with a significant increase in the inversion parameter of the spinel ...
