Can Elastomers Combine Stiffness, Toughness and Fatigue Resistance?

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review studies how the molecular and macroscopic architecture of elastomers influence their mechanical properties including: stiffness, stretchability, toughness, fatigue resistance, and damping behavior. By linking the structure to performance, it proposes design principles for advanced elastomeric systems that combine mechanical properties ...

Factors Affecting the Temperature Variation Rate of Bamboo during High-frequency Heating

open access: yesBioResources, 2023
High-frequency electromagnetic fields refer to electromagnetic waves with frequencies ranging from 100 kHz to 300 MHz. High-frequency medium heating has the advantages of uniform heating, rapid energy consumption, and environmental protection.

The High-Frequency Electromagnetic Fields Generation in the Electromagnetic Strength Testing Experiments. A 'Warm' Plasma Model.

open access: yes, 1995
: The experiment on electromagnetic strength testing of objects is considered. The high-frequency electromagnetic fields generation as a result of fast electron beam injection into the vacuum chamber is investigated.

Parity‐Dependent THz Harmonic Generation in Electrically Pumped Micro‐Lasers Exploiting Topological Insulator–Metamaterial Gratings

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Topological insulator–metamaterials integrated with electrically driven terahertz quantum cascade lasers enable parity‐dependent harmonic generation. Bulk‐dominated Bi2Se3 favors third‐harmonic emission at 9.96 THz, whereas topological‐surface‐state‐dominated Bi2Se3, Bi2Te3, and (Bi,Sb)2Te3 generate strong second harmonics near 6.5 THz.

High frequency coupling model of multi-level transmission lines in power systems with scatterers

open access: yes电力工程技术
High-frequency electromagnetic fields can couple to overhead transmission lines. When the wavelength of the high-frequency electromagnetic fields is smaller than the height of the transmission lines, the classical transmission line theory is no longer ...
