High performance liquid chromatography

1999
The pioneering work of Martin and Synge [1] led to the development of gas-liquid chromatography, an elegant chromatographic method where, even with packed columns, the efficiencies achieved were high and the technique could be used with equal facility for both analytical and preparative studies.

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography of Cisplatin

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1983
The retention behavior of cisplatin on a variety of stationary phases has been investigated using aqueous mobile phases modified by the addition of various electrolytes and methanol. Cisplatin is poorly retained on reverse-phase or silica columns but satisfactorily retained on chemically bonded or solvent-generated anion exchangers.

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

1982
High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) has become a standard technique in the laboratory. The intent of this chapter is to present an overview of the technical aspects of HPLC rather than an in-depth discussion. For more detailed information on HPLC, the reader is referred to the recently revised text by Synder and Kirkland.1 There is an ...

High-performance liquid chromatography of antibiotics

Journal of Chromatography B: Biomedical Sciences and Applications, 1990
High-performance liquid chromatographic (HPLC) monitoring of antimicrobial agents has recently become more widely used, and represents an interesting alternative to other methods. The methodology is characterized by good specificity and accuracy, and it is applicable to almost all antibiotics.

High-performance liquid magneto-chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 2006
High-performance liquid magneto-chromatography (HPLMC) is a new chromatography technique with two distinctive features: (a) a high surface area stationary phase with paramagnetic properties composed of magnetite embedded in a silica gel, and (b) a magnetic field (variable intensity 0-5.5 mT) that selectively retains paramagnetic substances in the ...

High-performance liquid chromatography of tetracyclines

Journal of Chromatography A, 1986
The possibilities of two non-ionogenic resins (XAD-2 and PRP-1) in the chromatography of tetracyclines and their degradation products are described. It appears that, in contrast to silica-based materials, this type of column material produces linear calibration curves, even in the low nanogram range.

Synthesis of a fluorescent derivatizing reagent, 6-aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl carbamate, and its application for the analysis of hydrolysate amino acids via high-performance liquid chromatography.

Analytical Biochemistry, 1993
A highly reactive amine derivatizing reagent, 6-aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl carbamate, has been synthesized. In a rapid, one-step procedure, the compound reacts with amino acids to form stable unsymmetric urea derivatives which are readily ...

Measurement of food flavonoids by high-performance liquid chromatography: A review.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2000
The flavonoids are plant polyphenols found frequently in fruits, vegetables, and grains. Divided into several subclasses, they include the anthocyanidins, pigments chiefly responsible for the red and blue colors in fruits, fruit juices, wines, and ...

Analysis of intact tetraether lipids in archaeal cell material and sediments by high performance liquid chromatography/atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry.

Rapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, 2000
A method combining normal phase high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with positive ion atmospheric pressure chemical ionization mass spectrometry (APCI-MS) was developed for the analysis of intact glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers (GDGTs) in
