A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

A High-Power-Density Converter
IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine, 2010This article presents the development and experimental performance of a 10-kW high-power-density three-phase ac-dc-ac converter. The converter consists of a Vienna-type rectifier front end and a two-level voltage source inverter (VSΓ)To reduce the switching loss and achieve a high operating junction temperature, the SiC JFET and SiC Schottky diode are ...

Thermoacoustics at high power density
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1996Some applications of thermoacoustics will require high power density to reduce the cost and size of the hardware needed for a given total power. Such high power density can be reached by using high acoustic amplitudes, but this leads to significant differences between the actual operation and predictions based on the acoustic approximation.

Microthermophotovoltaic power generator with high power density
Applied Thermal Engineering, 2009Abstract A promising energy source for portable MEMS devices, microthermophotovoltaic (micro-TPV) power generator, is described in this paper. The system mainly consists of a micro SiC combustor, and a GaSb photovoltaic (PV) cell array and a simple nine-layer dielectric filter, with a volume of about 3.1 cm 3 .

A high power density VHSIC power supply
Fifth Annual Proceedings on Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 1990A regulated 3.3 V, 10 A supply that combines several innovative approaches is described. The power stage is based on the Cuk converter which allows a very effective application of the integrated-magnetics technique: all magnetic elements (input and output filtering inductors, transformer) are combined on a single magnetic core resulting in a very ...

High-Power-Density Organic Radical Batteries
Topics in Current Chemistry, 2017Batteries that are based on organic radical compounds possess superior charging times and discharging power capability in comparison to established electrochemical energy-storage technologies. They do not rely on metals and, hence, feature a favorable environmental impact.

SH3: high code density, low power
IEEE Micro, 1995Hitachi's SH series microprocessors feature 32-bit RISC architecture with a 16-bit, fixed-length instruction set. We describe SH3, a pipelined implementation of the SH architecture with on-chip cache, MMU, and software-programmable power management.

Development on high-power and high power density capacitor charging power supply
2014 17th International Symposium on Electromagnetic Launch Technology, 2014This paper discussed the high-power and the miniaturization technology of capacitor charging power supply. The design and implementation of parallel operating high power density CCPS prototype with "peak current shifting control" was described. The single CCPS prototype output power is 35kW and the whole output power of parallel operating CCPS is 70kW.

Abstract In the context of new generation rare isotope beam facilities based on high-power heavy-ion accelerators and in-flight separation of the reaction products, the design of the rare isotope production targets is a major challenge. In order to provide high-purity beams for science, high resolution is required in the rare isotope separation. This
