Gearing Design for High Power Density
2020High power density is one of the major attributes of gearing systems. It could primarily be achieved by adopting designs that feature multiple power paths, which make some of the gears multi-mesh gears, in particular the larger and heavier ones, and some of the pinions double-mesh ones.

High Power Density and High Efficiency of High-Speed Motor
2020 International Conference on Electrical Machines (ICEM), 2020This paper describes the development of highspeed motor with high power density and high efficiency by using the ultra-thin electrical steel sheet in 80μm thick. This steel sheet has a low core loss reduction in high speed motor. These contents are based on the ultra-thin electrical steeleddycurrent loss, The developed high-speed motor is for the Mars ...

A High Power Density Traction Drive
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1979<div class="htmlview paragraph">A new traction drive has been developed which has the power density required for use in both on- and off-highway vehicles. It avoids problems faced by other types of traction drives such as high contact stresses and roller positioning. The range extends from 0 to 1:1.

High Power-Density SiC Converter
Materials Science Forum, 2008A compact SiC converter having power densities about 9 W/cm3 is designed and fabricated. It is confirmed that the converter operates in a thermally permissive range. The power loss of the module of the converter measured under motor operations is less than 50% of the similar-rating Si module loss. The shrink of the effective volume of DC-link capacitor

High-Power-Density Superconducting Generator
Journal of Energy, 1982The application of superconductors to the field windings of synchronous ac generators has been the subject of considerable development effort over the past decade. Machines and/or components have been built and tested in more than half a dozen countries. This paper considers an airborne high-power-density superconducting generator under construction at

High-Density Avionic Power Supply
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1980Dramatic reductions in size and weight have been achieved in the area of signal and information processing. Power conditioning circuits have not kept pace, primarily due to the relatively slow proggress ress in the passive energy storage and transformation devices.

A high-power-density DC/DC converter for high-power distributed power systems
IEEE 34th Annual Conference on Power Electronics Specialist, 2003. PESC '03., 2004This paper presents a zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) three-level DC/DC resonant converter for high-power distributed power systems. The paper first addresses the operation of the converter at a fixed frequency, which is achieved by applying phase-shift control between the primary and the secondary sides of the transformer.

A high power density high voltage distributed power system for pulse power applications
Twentieth Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2005. APEC 2005., 2005In this paper, a high-density high-voltage distributed power system for pulse power applications is designed and implemented. Different topologies are evaluated for two power stages. According to pulse load condition, system power density is optimized through the tradeoff between power loss and magnetic component size.

Heat Transfer at High-Power Densities
Journal of Applied Physics, 1953The power densities that liquid metal cooling is capable of are explored. The advantages of liquid metals over conventional water cooling are shown. The presentation is such that one can choose between the available coolants for any particular application with a minimum of background.

FLOX® Combustion at High Power Density and High Flame Temperatures
Journal of Engineering for Gas Turbines and Power, 2010In this contribution, an overview of the progress in the design of an enhanced FLOX® burner is given. A fuel flexible burner concept was developed to fulfill the requirements of modern gas turbines: high specific power density, high turbine inlet temperature, and low NOx emissions. The basis for the research work is numerical simulation. With the focus
