High-precision accounting for high-precision network services
2021 IEEE 22nd International Conference on High Performance Switching and Routing (HPSR), 2021The networking landscape is expected to undergo profound changes over the coming years, with new applications emerging that depend on the ability of networks to provide high-precision services with stringent service-level guarantees. To enable and incentivize network providers to deploy and deliver such services will also require advances in the way ...

A pump which delivers from 0?01 to 0?65 ml fluid per beat at a frequency of 10-80 beats per min is described. Consecutive discharges agree within 1?5% of the average. Pumping is achieved by rhythmically compressing an elastic tube which has one-way valves at either end.

High-precision geochronology is integral to testing hypotheses regarding the correlation, causes, and rates of events and processes in Earth history. Recent studies have sought to reconcile very precise, but apparently conflicting, ages for the same geological samples and events using different chronometers.

Navigating the intranet with high precision
Proceedings of the 16th international conference on World Wide Web, 2007Despite the success of web search engines, search over large enterprise intranets still suffers from poor result quality. Earlier work [6] that compared intranets and the Internet from the view point of keyword search has pointed to several reasons why the search problem is quite different in these two domains.

High Precision Scanning Ellipsometer
Applied Optics, 1975We describe the design, construction, alignment, and calibration of a photometric ellipsometer of the rotating-analyzer type. Data are obtained by digital sampling of the transmitted flux with an analog-to-digital converter, followed by Fourier transforming of the accumulated data with a dedicated minicomputer.
