UAV-Aided High-Accuracy Relative Localization of Ground Vehicles

2018 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2018
Accurate position information is critical for the emerging applications of autonomous vehicles. Compared with absolute position information, relative positions are often more relevant for neighboring vehicles to perform joint tasks such as fleeting and overtaking. In this paper, we propose a relative localization scheme for ground vehicles aided by the

Computing eigenvalues of quasi‐rational Bernstein–Vandermonde matrices to high relative accuracy

Numerical Linear Algebra with Applications, 2021
AbstractIn this article, we consider how to accurately solve the eigenvalue problem for a class of quasi‐rational Bernstein–Vandermonde (q‐RBV) matrices. This class of matrices belongs to generalized sign regular matrices with signature . An algorithm is developed to accurately compute the parameter matrix for q‐RBV matrices.

Cleaving optical fibre lengths to high relative accuracy

Optics Communications, 1998
Abstract Single-mode fibres are an important component in systems such as ground-based stellar interferometers. A major drawback in using them is the large optical path differences that arise between individual fibres, due to the difficulty in equalising their lengths.

Solving the linear least squares problem with very high relative accuracy

Computing, 1990
An algorithm is proposed for solving a linear least squares problem, when the matrix A is of full column rank, to a prescribed accuracy \(\epsilon >0\). This is achieved by means of programmed multi-precision arithmetics. It is assumed that all elements of A and b are exactly representable in a floating point arithmetic with \(t_ 0\) digit mantissa ...

A method for high accuracy determination of equilibrium relative humidity

Sensors and Actuators A: Physical, 2012
Abstract This paper treats a new method for measuring equilibrium relative humidity and equilibrium dew-point temperature of a material sample. The developed measuring device is described – a Dew-point Meter – which by means of so-called Dynamic Dew-point Analysis permits quick and very accurate determination of the equilibrium relative humidity ...

High accuracy measurement of the relative efficiency curve and determination of gamma-ray relative intensity for 38Cl

Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2000
Relative efficiency curves were accurately determined for Ge gamma-ray detectors from measurements for radionuclides which emit two gamma-rays with essentially the same emission probabilities. The relative intensity of the 1643 and 2167 keV gamma-rays from 38Cl was determined to be 0.7496 (11) by using these highly accurate efficiency curves.

Computing Singular Value Decompositions of Parameterized Matrices with Total Nonpositivity to High Relative Accuracy

Journal of Scientific Computing, 2016
The authors are concerned with accurately computing singular value decompositions (SVDs) of matrices. They present a new algorithm to compute SVDs of nonsingular totally nonpositive matrices to high relative accuracy. The new algorithm is developed by taking into account the property that there are \(n\times n\) independent parameters for any ...

A high accuracy gyroscope readout test facility for the relativity gyroscope experiment

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1977
We are building an apparatus for Earth-based testing of a gyroscope system to be used in a satellite test of general relativity. The immediate goal is a readout capable of measuring the direction of the gyroscope spin axis to an angular resolution of one arcsecond over a limited range.
