Thyratron evaluation at high power, high repetition rates
Nineteenth IEEE Symposium on Power Modulators, 2002Two double-gap tubes, the EEV 1536-R and the ITT F-266, were operated at 40 kV and 6 kHz for 100 s bursts at average powers of 600 kW and 1.2 MW. Operations at 10 kHz was also attempted for the two thyratrons. An initiative is planned for the evaluation of a three gap tube, the EEV 1776, at 80 kV, 6 kHz, for 100 s burst operation.

Femtosecond laser processing of biopolymers at high repetition rate
Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2008The large intensities available with femtosecond (fs) laser pulses allow permanent structural modifications in transparent materials with high spatial resolution. Irradiation of self-standing transparent biopolymer films, such as collagen, pure and curcumin doped gelatine employing a 60-fs high-power 11 MHz Ti-Sapphire oscillator laser system linked to

Operation of krypton-filled flashlamps at high repetition rates
Applied Optics, 1983A technique for operating krypton-filled flashlamps at high repetition rates and with high efficiency in Q-switched lasers is described. The technique uses high simmer currents to remove the timing and amplitude jitter that occurs at high repetition rates when krypton-filled lamps are run with conventional, low simmer currents. Besides giving excellent

High repetition rate LC oscillator
IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1979LC oscillators have been built which can produce multikilowatt RF pulses in the megahertz frequency range with repetition rates of tens of kilohertz. The L and C for these oscillators can be determined from the frequency requirement and the high-Q requirements.

Harmonic generation in the VUV region at high repetition rate
Optics Communications, 1995Abstract We describe here a source of subpicosecond, coherent, partially tunable radiation operating at 500 Hz repetition rate in the VUV region (200−100nm), based on a Ti:S pump laser delivering 500 μJ, 130 fs pulses and producing harmonics both in Xe and in Ar gas targets.

High-repetition-rate femtosecond pulse generation in the blue
Optics Letters, 1992We report the generation of high-repetition-rate femtosecond pulses in the blue by intracavity doubling of a mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser using β-BaB2O4. To reduce the pulse-broadening effect of group-velocity mismatch, an extremely thin β-BaB2O4 crystal is used. By pumping the Ti:sapphire laser with 4.4 W of power from an Ar+ laser, as much as 230 mW

The high repetition rate thermionic injector
2022At Eindhoven university a high repetition rate thermionic injector is being built. The injector is capable of supplying electron bunches at a repetition rate of 1.5 GHz, which can be used for x-ray generation. The electron source generates a continuous beam with a high current and low emittance through thermionic emission.

High-repetition-rate XeF laser with gas recycling
Applied Physics Letters, 1977Sustained operation of a Blumlein-driven XeF excimer laser at pulse repetition rates as high as 200 pps has been achieved. A simple technique for reclamation and recycling of xenon used in the laser gas mixture is also reported.

Drilling with Ultrashort Laser Pulses at High Repetition Rates
2015Ultrashort laser pulses offer extraordinary precision in microprocessing a variety of materials, especially metals. Thermal and mechanical damage can be minimized by working at fluences not too far above the ablation threshold. However, this comes at the expense of low ablation rates and thus high processing times.

High-repetition-rate continuously pumped ruby laser
IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1971The first successful operation of a high-repetition-rate repetitively Q -switched ruby laser is reported. Using an acousto-optic Q switch, repetition rates up to 5000 pps have been achieved. When the laser is optimized, peak power outputs of 20 kW at 500 pps and 8 kW at 2000 pps can be expected.
