Introduction to High-Resolution Manometry

2009
Each channel of the catheter is connected to a separate pressure transducer. Any interference with the flow of water from any of the various channels by lumen occluding contractions raises the pressure in the corresponding channel. Pressure transducers continuously monitor pressures in the channels.

High-Resolution Manometry in Clinical Practice.

Gastroenterology & hepatology, 2016
High-resolution manometry (HRM) is the primary method used to evaluate esophageal motor function. Displayed and interpreted by esophageal pressure topography (EPT), HRM/ EPT provides a detailed assessment of esophageal function that is useful in the evaluation of patients with nonobstructive dysphagia and before foregut surgery.

High-Resolution Manometry of the Pharynx and Esophagus

2018
This chapter describes the use of high-resolution manometry (HRM) for the assessment of pharyngeal, upper esophageal sphincter, and esophageal function during deglutition. Based on color plot technology, pressure patterns in both the pharynx and the esophagus are described in health and swallow pathology. The analysis of these patterns is determined by
