Abstract Volunteers have been involved in nature observations for decades through citizen science initiatives, providing large data sets as well as problem identification that allow a more complete understanding of many natural phenomena. Although communication is a core component in citizen science, the key factors that determine its effectiveness in ...

Fault Detection Method for High-speed EMU Axlebox Bearings Based on Envelope Synthesis
[Objective] The actual operating conditions of high-speed EMUs (electric multiple units) are complex, and the vibration acceleration signals of axlebox bearings often exhibit strong nonlinear and non-stationary features, with significant background noise

Nonlinear Exchange Rate Adjustment in the Enlarged Euro zone. Evidence and Implications for Candidate Countries. [PDF]
This paper sheds light on the importance of the validity of PPP hypothesis for the accessing process of the candidate countries towards EMU. The evidence of nonlinear adjustment in real exchange rates insists the estimation of a nonlinear SETAR model ...

ABSTRACT Rare earth elements (REEs) play an irreplaceable role in modern technology and industry. However, due to the highly similar physicochemical properties among REEs, their separation remains a significant challenge. Additionally, REEs often exist in low‐concentration solutions, making efficient REE recovery an urgent task.

Design and Experimental Verification of High-speed EMU Built-in Bogies
[Objective] Compared with bogies suspended on the outer side of the axle box, built-in bogies offer advantages such as light weight, superior curve negotiation capability, lower wheel-rail wear and noise.

Inflation Rate Dispersion and Convergence in Monetary and Economic Unions: Lessons for the ECB [PDF]
Using a set of regional inflation rates we examine the dynamics of inflation dispersion within the U.S.A., Japan and across U.S. and Canadian regions. We find that inflation rate dispersion is significant throughout the sample period in all three samples.

ABSTRACT This study developed a FeSiAl@LMPGP composite material to address the demand for low‐frequency electromagnetic absorption. Through controllable heat treatment, FeSiAl particles and PbO nanoparticles self‐assembled into a high‐density Mott–Schottky heterointerface structure, which exhibited a significant built‐in electric field (BIEF) effect ...
